Elijah has been riding with Horses with Hearts for five years now—and what a journey it’s been.
When he first started, he was quiet, unsure, and kept mostly to himself. But over time, we’ve watched something beautiful unfold. With every ride, every interaction, and every encouraging voice from the volunteers and staff, Elijah began to open up.
Now, he looks forward to riding each and every week. The excitement in his eyes is unmistakable. He’s more interactive, more engaged, and it fills my heart to see him light up as he works through the tasks during his sessions. Even more special is watching him connect with others—sharing smiles, exchanging words, and building confidence one stride at a time.
Horses with Hearts has become more than just a program for us. It’s become a place of growth, connection, and family.
