My daughter Andrea has been riding with Horses with Hearts for 18 years—and in that time, I’ve witnessed hundreds of miracles.
Not just in Andrea’s life, but in the lives of so many others who’ve found healing, growth, and joy on this farm.
I’ve watched Andrea conquer fears I once thought would hold her back—her fear of heights, her fear of large animals—and I’ve watched her blossom into a strong, confident, and more independent young woman. Week after week, she builds her core strength, grows her sense of self, and deepens her connection to the horses and the volunteers who walk beside her.
And still, after all these years, the anticipation never fades. She lights up every time we pull into the driveway. That spark is there when she mounts her horse. It’s there as she rides. It’s there as she chats and laughs with the incredible team that makes all of this possible.
Horses with Hearts has been more than just a program for our family—it has been a lifeline, a source of joy, and a community filled with love and purpose.
I will never stop being grateful for what this place has given Andrea—and for the countless other riders who’ve discovered just how powerful and healing the bond between human and horse can be.
